Soccer Star has been run as a play-by-mail game since 1986, but in recent years it has become clear that the game would benefit greatly from a play-by-email option.

Email turns are cheaper than their mail counterparts and will continue to drop in price as more automated options are added. They are also much faster, with managers receiving their result just minutes after the matches have been processed each week instead of having to wait for days for the snail-mail to arrive.

The game is already fully playable by email and we are currently working on an automated program to help managers return their orders by email. At present, orders can be sent in by email by simply typing out instructions into a plain email and returning them to us. The automated program (which is currently partly completed and available for use) simplifies this process.

If you are already a member of Soccer Star and would like to convert to email turns, simply email us at soccerstar@soccerstar.org.uk and let us know (remember to include your team name and league).

If you are totally new to Soccer Star and would like to give the game a try, either by post or by email, please email us at soccerstar@soccerstar.org.uk and let us know. Please specify which format you'd prefer to play the game in. Your first turn is free and there is no obligation to continue after your first turn.
